Default spyware

I have got a spyware cookie on my PC called 'TIBS C' anyone know anything about it I cant seem to get rid of it as I think its on the registry...whatever that means.. Anyone help me out as since I had this the PC is running real slow especially my beloved monkeys...

Alright Deano,

There are a few options which should sort this.

Have you any Antivirus software on your pc?? If so go into your Antivirus and run a scan on the pc which should pick up the unwanted file.

remove all cookies C:\Documents and Settings\Cookies

You should really have some sort of A/V on your pc.

There are several few other checks you can also run.

pm me if you want any more info

I have got antivirus software including antispyware but its this that informed of the infection/cookie that it was unable to delete
I have run an antispyware scan but still this does not remove it...more help needed....thanks anyway

It can be removed using BT/yahoo anti spy ware or so i was told on a computer nerds forum

Default adaware

hi mate
had this trouble, download and install ad aware (not a big download) and its free. i had 476 cookies\trojans and this software sorted it out.

its still here...doing my nut in now as I really dont fancy a full software reboot...and reformatting the harddrive...I have a load of pics and other stuff on it..I suppose I can bang all the pics on photobucket.....PLEASE someone find me a cure...

had a similar problem last year. my anti virus / spam couldn't remove it. had to restore my pc to an earlier date using system restore.

well done the system restore to 2 weeks ago before all the troubles...I havent been on any dodgey sites though honest... Well it seems as though its done the trick...hoooray...
