Best of luck in your search fella.
Your post is like a breath of fresh air in that you are willing and open enough to ask for a chance of employment. If there were any vacancies available where i work, i wouldn't hesitate in giving you the chance.
Keep trying, and good luck.

Hi

what do you like doing? What are your quals? Skills? Interest?

You wont go far long looking into the rail industry

I was very luck and got in some years ago straight off the street to being a driver.

We get about 18 weeks a year off! Thats 37days annual leave and because you are contracted a 35 hour week we get every 5th week off Plenty of time to take Redesmere apart

We get loads of benifits and are very well paid ( 45k Plus ) BUT if the **** hits the fan we are usually on the front page and can be had for man slaughter!!!!

There are loads of good jobs within the rail industry and will suit most capabilities.

Good luck

John

Cheers John mate will have a look into that.

As for work i can turn my hand at anything tbh. I do drive but my car is off the road atm but i am willing to get buses or trains ect.

I have done gardening for over 3 years and can run aci's, laminators and extruders.

John

thats if he can get some one to sponsor him for his PTS card.. unless he goes and works for Arriva or on the metro...

matey you need a CV.. if you havent got one.. dro pme a line with your email address and i will send you over a CV pro-forma that you can fill in, mail it back and i will write your CV for you... did it for a bloke on the RMC angling website... had the best thankyou letter/pm i have ever had.. he landed his dream the job from the stregnth of the cv i wrote for him in other words!!!

you need to look further than the job centre... register on Totaljobs.com - Find jobs across the UK Find Jobs. Build a Better Career. Find Your Calling. | Monster.co.uk fish4 jobs - Job search and recruitment and let them search for jobs for you... i deal with the unemployed every single day and its tough work at the moment... dedication and a will to work will get you everywhere.. .dont be put off by the interviews you attend and dont get the jobs, ask them for feedback (even if you didnt get the job) and see where you went wrong, and ALSO what you did good... interviews are all about experience and preparation fella...

if you go and register with agencies... you need to hound them every day... 9.30am "what jobs have you got for me today" if none... ring back at 1pm "what have you got for me now" and ring again at 4pm... with the same questions, agenecies are rubbish for calling you... you need to make the effort with them.. as to them you are a CV...

anything else.. just drop me a line

if you are looking at outdoor work i.e. gardening, building sites etc.. you will need your CSCS card... ask you jobbie advisor about training companies in Manchester that will fund it for you (about £45) you can then go onto do other cards for FLT, ground working, dumper truck, whacker plates etc...
