Default Let's all laugh at England!

Another false dawn.

It's about time the media stopped 'bigging up' the national side. No more than average at best. You can't beat teams on paper.

To be truthful, I stopped watching England after they were knocked out of the World Cup on penalties by Germany. No results since have inspired me to watch them again (including the 5-1).

Is Fabio the answer? I doubt it, I may be proved wrong but there's hardly a massive incentive for him if he's getting paid as much as he is.

This is supposed to be our national sport, if nobody at the top end can get a grip of the players and knock them into shape then the future for the national team looks less than rosy.

Qualification for the World Cup will only be the start of the merry go round. They'll be dusting off the picture of Bobby Moore on the shoulders of the team and claiming that 'this time more than other time, we'll get it right'.

However if anything happens contrary to what I'm saying, I'll eat the whole humble pie.

In my opinion our "world class" players are made to look better by jonny foreigner who have more passion to play for there national sides. The england team shuld take a leaf out of the althete's int the olympics that have passion and pride and arn't earning 150,000 a week. It's a joke.

All things carpy ,tenchy ,roachy perchy, barbely even minniowy are far more interesting than watching what IMHO are best described as a prideless international footy team who simply dont care as their 50 ,60 70 or 100 thousand pounds a week wages keep rolling in and that is all they care about . What they should do is wage cap all non international players to a grand a week so if you lose your England place kiss your hundred grand a week pay check goodbye

we need to start picking a team that consists of team players regardless of the team or division they play in, just because someone is earning more £££ at a big club it doesnt give them the right to play for england and personally i think some of the lesser known players would give everything and more to get the chance to play for there country and they would install some pride back into the team !
