nokia n95 a good bet,big screen,5 megapix camera,sat nav, etc etc

you could always buy a dongle and take your laptop to the bank

£50 on pay as you go or £15 a month on contract

you wont need a land line at home as well

Yeah i would agree, the N95 8gb for a rookie phone man,
if you want something you can get hold of tho, ask about a PDA
I'm rocking a SideKick on the bank these days!

in the obsessive pursuit of saving weight, i've chucked all my camera kit and use my phone for everything, another thing worth considering is the n95 has a trick feature on the camera if you set the camera to self take mode you can select different timer intervals i.e every 30 seconds,it'll keep taking pics until you turn it off or it runs out of memory, very handy for readjusting your fish, just get a camera adaptor and bank stick job done.

btw my n95 is the lesser model,i've got loads on it with no probs,if i find theres not enough memory i'll just buy a memory chip, the 8gb model has no camera lens cover which i wasn't too keen on.

plus it came for free from orange which helped swing it

Bloody hell, how big and heavy was your camera! I consider the camera to be a very important bit of kit, it's something I would never substitute with a camera phone personally!

correct i wouldnt sustitute the camera for a phone camera i have the n95 aswell. about amonth ago me and my mate were fishing and catching a couple and realised the camera had gone flat so we had to use my phone the pics are not bad but would never leave home with out my spare battery for my camera again they are ok for genral pics but not for trophy shots with your fish

i've never been a camera obsessive, but i found the camera an extra bit of kit to carry,i was a bugger for not getting around to having 35mm films developed and imo the results were a bit hit and miss, unless your a particularly good photographer(which i'm not). The digi pics are idiot proof and downloading them onto a pc is childs play,i never go anywhere without my phone so it just makes sense to use it as a camera etc as well

nice one guys n95 is looking good.i cant take the lap top as my missis uses it for her geneology research ,"if i lost that my life would be over"pmsl.i agree about the fone camera, as i use my ericson w880i at the mo as a back up to my digi camera as for some reason i cant take pics at night with it as the screen is just black so the fone is handy with the light facility.and the idea behind the internet fone is so i can keep in touch with home as the missis or kid have this thing on 24/7 so if i can get say messenger or similar on it that would be great and cheaper than hour long callssaying "ARE YOU REALLY FISHIN "lol.

Just dont go for the 8gb model as they are still plagued by problems, especially with the memory.
My SE K800i is more than adequate for the job, mobile net, 3.2 megapixel camera and a 1gb card, stores anything I need to store on it.

you can get some very good phones that will sort you out.

i recommend one of either Blackberry, HTC, i phone 3g, or N95.
