For a bit of up to date hip hop - with 'clever' lyrics rather than macho rubbish -try Cool Calm Pete. His album's called Lost - superb.

Other recent lsitening is Tony Allen 'homecooking' and Africanesque comp - in an attempt to bring a bit of sunshine to this overlong, freezing winter!!

recently I've just been trying to get all my old vinyl stuff on cd, latest purchases have been
Lard - the last temptation of reid
Pitchshifter - deviant and www.pitchshifter.com (an album title and a link)
Crass - stations of the crass
the levellers
the pogues
the subhumans
fields of the nephilim
naz nomad and the nightmares

also bought the new albums by Kasabian and snow patrol and still going to gigs in the meantime, next one is The Misfits but I'm only bothered about seeing the support band Goldblade
