Default Hello Forum.

Hello fellow carpers,

After having a couple of visits to the site looking at the threads on the cheshire waters I have decided to join. I am 99 % certain Im gonna join Doddington in the next couple of weeks after I have come back from a jolly up in darkest Morayshire visiting me bro. My shift pattern in work is changing to a contintal rota from standard 8 - 4 so with my spare time Im gonna give the fishing a serious bit of stick throughout the summer.

Adios Ian.

Hello Smokey.

In the past I have mostly fished the flash(bottom) in winsford, doing overnighters. My parents live in winsford and that is were I keep my gear. so I nip over to see them and then spend the night in my biv. Its laid back down there and come the 16th of June you get to have 2 rods in the lake and 2 in the river if you are fishing the spit. The river carp go like stink, low doubles that try to pull your arms out of their sockets. The reason Im moving off is because you only have access there to 1/3 of the lake in total and Im never certain in a lot of the pegs if I actual have carp in front of myself. I know at Doddington their is an area you cannot fish but in comparison to the flash its pretty small. With Doddington being 20 minutes from my parents place it still very convient for doing the overnighters. I dont want to travel to far with the cost of petrol so Doddington fits the bill, for local safe overnight fishing. I suppose Astbury could be another option but apart from that Im not sure of anywere else that may suit me. Im looking for a water that's in the 50 acreish catergory, with plenty room so people do not have to be completely on top of each other. Any advice greatly recieved.

Cheers Ian

Thumbs up

Morning Boys,

Cheers for the hello's. Good luck on the bank if you are out this weekend. Im gonna do an overnighter on the flash tonight so I can check out my new Biv before sending feedback to the seller. With all that cold rain thats come down in the last few days not too optimistic but will give it a go.

Ian
