lol bacon is ready mate. That sounds a good read off mike mate the history of the place and the stunning fish that are there. and we are now the people that will have are own stories to tell of the stockies as they grow on. and all the laughs we have down there on the work party and fishing and every time we fish it the stories will just get bigger and better roll on saturday.
Lol, ok mate, cu down there! Been up the grange for a couple of hours this afternoon and managed to stalk a common and a mirror! The mirror was a little stunner!

I have had a response from one of the guys who fished the Serp in 1970 & 1971. His name is Ray Perry, who caught a 28lb'er there in 1971 - imagine that then. I have seen some of the BCSG mags from back then, the black & white typed A5 size mag, which in the back listed all reported carp catches. Most were doubles with just a few twenties. A 28lb'er was a huge capture. I have tried to copy & paste his response so you can enjoy it for yourself but its too long - 6100 characters.
