nasty that...... I would like to say I'll never forget my mug again but with my track record of forgetting odd bits and bobs its very doubtful.

Much better than the walk going, cant figure out how to reduce it further apart from going without food and water then I could fit my bait in the rucksack, bungy my mat around it and have one hand free for my chair and the other for the quiver...problem being that if I put my bivvy inside I can hardly lift it even with the straps shortened it still tends to drag on the floor with me bein so very vertically challenged

ive stoppped trying to struggle now and just do 2 trips when having to do the walk

I knew there was an advantage to having mal with me................called a dropping / boarding pass mind you its the only advantage ive found so far

There used to be a little tupperware box in the boat house that I kept a few spare essentials in; mugs, knives, forks, etc. Don't know if it's still in there?

The Chest wader bandit probably took it and is as i type sat at his table at home eating his tea using the knives etc from the tupaware box while wearing his ill-gotten chestys.
