Thats the setup I was thinking of changing to matey, are the neon tetra's easy to look after? your tank looks a similar size to mine, how often do you do water changes?

hi bet,

Neons are very easy to look after once the tank is established and are incredibly hardy fish! my tank is 3foot long i think 180 liters. yours would me more then big enough! Some of the hardest fish i have kept are the most common and apparently easy fish the guppy. From what i am told is they have been genetically bread so many times they have little or no immunity and are very finkey and less hardy! I'm not sure if anyone else has had trouble with them!

Nice planted set up mate, have the Vallis and Swords just gone in or are they established...?
I have a Discus set up which is also planted lightly.Have you tried any Corys or Catfish for keeping the bottom of the tank clean ?

guppys are easy to look after in an established tank. The only thing is that they breeed like crazy. I had about 20 in my tank 2 month later there where hundreds, had to take them to local fish show to get rid of them.

Would have thought that situation would have the said fish in a constant state of stress and not a very good example of fishkeeping, only my opinion mind its your set up and your money thats needed to replace the fish when they finally go belly up
