Default Dove

Went onto my club stretch on Saturday to do a spot of piking mate but it is still pushing through a bit quick. You may get away with the odd slower bit (Deep bends and glides etc) but the fields leading up to our bit were still bad as my mate will tell you when he had to pull me out of 4ft of cow **** and mud which i walked into thinking it was solid ground!!!!

Still jet washing my gear now!!!!!

Are you going on scropton stretch?...there was loads of chub years back but more barbel really.Outside of a bend always a good bet for both....trickle some hemp in under your feet...light lead, corn used to be a winner for both but on other stretches of the Dove at this time of year i have done ok on popped up bread crust just a little cube anchored with a shot in a nice bit of slack water, bites are often drop backs.

steak is another good un done ok on the trent on steak never tried it on the dove.A goodun with the steak is a bit of bread crumb with some tinned mackerel or a bit of mince mixed in in an open ended feeder...tight lines..

Hehe yep Deano, as you know mate im 6'3 so 4 ft of cow **** over your wellies still goes alng way!!!! We desp want to get on it but our stretch is full of fast water and withthe weather it just isnt feasable to bait fish it. Do know thre is some good fish in though but it was much easier to have a quick walk then go over to the Sow which is a cacking little stretch and full of em!!
