you would be lucky to catch anythin from this venue m8

Its 40 ft deep in places with an average of around 20 ft.

The bream and tench rarely come out. I would opt for sandiways myself as there are some monster shoals in their.

you`d be surprised at the depths you can catch in myself and many of my friends have caught plenty of fish in over 25ft of water

Plenty of decent Perch come out of Astbury and that place is hardly shallow!

A quick word of warning when Perch fishing in deep water though. Unlike most other fish, Perch cannot regulate the air pressure in their swim bladders very well. If you hook a Perch in deep water and crank it straight up to the surface they can suffer complications (not dissuimilar to the way a diver gets the bends).

So, if you hook a Perch in deep water, reel it in slowly and give a few breaks during the fight to let it aclimatise to the shallower depth.

Mike.

not saying you cant catch in 20+ ft of water mate , as id rather fish deeper waters , just saying that the perch and bream in Moore are not the easiest of fish to catch. Id say the carp are easier to catch in there!!
