Got a number of river sections covered on one of my club tickets - so I'm going to have an exploratory year I think!

Oh, and a trip to the Hampshire Avon in July

Done another session tonight - just got back.

Ended up with five Chub, with the biggest being this 4lb 2oz Minter

Never had them fight so hard before though, I was amazed!

Was on there as well yesterday, did afternoon until dark.

I ended up with 12 chub
No monsters, biggest around 3 1/2lb.

My mate had 4 chub and 3 barbel, 2 at 6lb-ish and 1 at 9lb 3oz.

Was a good afternoon's fishing, I just couldn't keep away from the chub and missed a fair few as well.

Yeah - was a bit like that myself - couldn't go wrong, and missed two really positive bites.

i had my first visit to the severn on fri/sat , ended up with 11 barbs , should have been more only for a couple of numptys to arrive @ 0330 and proceed to bang about & set up in the next d/s peg

had a severn pb too , 8lb 6oz , that was backed up by 8lb 4oz & 7lb , the rest were mainly around 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 lb

Been fishing the Goyt last couple of seasons where they are few and far between so it's a pleasent change.
