Default rivers closed season

im sure i read in my sotas card that you can fish on a certain stretch of river with ledgered worm
can anyone confirm this or give any more info ?
i know rivers are closed but is this a loophole ?

Dunno maybe fly fishing for trout is ok . But worming i dont think will be as all fish will take a worm however most fish will also take a fly the only fish i have not caught on fly are eels , tench & catfish i think ive had most if not all others on the fluff

you can fish for trout on the rivers but only with worm, fly, lure or prawn, and you must have your clubs permission as well. Obviously the stretch you fish must contain trout or you could find yourself being booked by the EA

But if you are trotting a worm for trout then you will catch roach and perch aswell. So its not your fault if you accidently catch course fish is it.

R you telling porkie pies Mr Stig..... Surely they arent the only fish you havent caught on fly!!!!! What about a minnow for starters?
