Same time as all the other coarse fish in the water once the temperature is high enough etc usually any time between march and july .How early in the year depends on how mild the winter was and how warm spring is if the water temps get up there early in the year the fish will spawn early and may even have a 2nd spawning in july as well if its a good year . Mother nature makes hay while the sun shines and that way fish will breed twice in 1 year .

Can't believe your pesky brothers and sisters (rats) chewed through your air dry sack and had away with some boilies last night!

As they say - you can't choose your family!

I'd be suprised with the accuracy of that.... Carp go through the motions of spawning upto half a dozen tiems in a year and generally only do it once or twice, how does that tie-in with Bream and Tench, surely it is the same??

agreed! i think you may find that the majority of time they are probably spawining when your fishing for them!

without actually having the visual effect of the carp decising they want to rip up a reed bed in search of a bit of nookie.. the only other tell tale signs are the white tubicles on breams heads which i have seen as early as February and as late as November

weather does have a big part to play as nobody wants to 'get it on' when its cold
