Default big perch

was on the top pool on fri after big perch and other bits, any one else ever fished it for anything other than carp with sucess???

Not recently but we used to fish it for pike and bream years ago there used to be some big slabs in there back then and quite a large head of pike caught some large perch while spinning for pike biggest over 3 llbs there are some big stripeys in there .

Always give it a quick chuck with the ure rod when I'm about in Autumn/Winter. Wouldn't mind having a crack at the Tench in there one day though!

cheers mate,

went on on sunday, at dawn, baited the swim up for the float rod and went off with my spinning rod, had 2 jacks biggest about 3lb, then went back to the point to fish over my bait with the float. and plugged away all day only to be rewarded with sweet f.a. so i moved to the stock pond for the last couple of hours in a desperate attempt to see the float go under, and bagged up!!! good day all round, can't wait for june to have a proper go at the tench.
