Default Spinning/Plugging Astbury mere.

Am thinking of doing some plugging/spinning on astbury mere as i live quite close during the winter. Anyone have any info on the best areas and most effective lures to use for pike or perch. Any info appreciated.

Walked it with a spinning rod the other week, I'm no expert on the venue but, three areas stuck out....the 'first on' pegs with the visible bars left of the boatclub, nice depth variations, the reeds and tethered canisters past the boathouse going anti-clockwise, scream Perch ( saw a couple around there but not the 4 lbers Ive heard about) and the long shot would be the furthest walk area with a very pronounced sandy shallows dropping sharply to deeper water....more Pikey.
