General question about winter Pike fishing -

Out of these, which would you consider to fish for pike this winter?

1. Rudyard
2. Knypersley
3. Astbury Mere

i've never fished any of them for pike but in my match fishing days i used to have skimmers ripped off the hook all the time on rudyard. but if your looking for pike fishing closer to home try the rochdale canal at smithy bridge or debdale resevior in denton(danebank) both have plenty of jacks to go for with debdale having some monsters aswell

Redesmere is a good one for pike. Just head for the island and u can't go far wrong. You can see them hit the lure in the margins, awesome stuff.

Takes your breath away when a big croc shoots out of the deeper water and snaffles your lure right at your feet doesnt it mate

don't forget lads pikers don't take as kindly to naming waters as carpers. not saying carpers like it when people name their waters but i can tell you pikers definately DON'T

Out of the 3 original venue's posted, i'd put knype bottom of the list. I'm not saying you can't catch them, just the other would give you a better chance
