Default Another early start tomorrow

I'll be only driving a couple of miles, but promised my 7 year old I'd take her with me. It's a bit of a dilemma really. I want to give the River Tame a go. Behind the old mills near the Portwood roundabout at Stockport. But as I've not been before it may not be the best idea...

Sent her in to the tackle shop to buy the bait and she came out buzzing...

"they gave us an extra scoop of maggots dad, because I said Please". The look on her face was priceless.

She's all ready for bed, but I'm wondering how much sleep she'll be getting.

Seems like only yesterday when I used to get that feeling.

I'll let you know how we get on and if we decide to give the Tame a go.

Yeah I know what you mean, she loves it. She's been in the Anglers Mail too (which is more than I've managed), although that was nearly 2 years ago, catching chublets, dace and roach out of the River Mersey on stick float! That's probably more than some of the boilie brigade have done in their 'apprenticeships'...

Took my lad last year to an easy water just to see if he'd take to it. He caught 6 in the first half hour or so but I could see his eyes starting to glaze over after a while. By the way he's still only 4!

May be a bit soon for the youngest as she'll not be 2 till next week.

Hopefully the seed will be sown with them, not looking forward to trying to find my gear in the future only to find out it's already on the bank somewhere with them

Better start saving for them
