Default redesmere bream

Planning on fishing redesmere for a PB bream. Having never fished specifically for the bream in redesmere i'm not to sure where to start. Has anyone else had any 'success' with the bream on redesmere? Any tips are welcome e.g. location, bait.
thanks in advance
tight lines Will

Nige is your man for this one, as I know he and his dad have had a number of double figure bream of the Mere.

He’s gone out fishing this afternoon but I’m sure he’ll reply on his return.

He did a piece on Anglers Net for us that may be of interest: http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/Coarse-Fishing-Articles/double_figure_bream.html

Cheers…

Julian

Hard to say just yet, all depends how much and what bait has been going in over the last week or so to see what I'd best recommend.

They may be thinking of spawning soon though (I watched them spawning after the carp last year) so avoid any warm/sunny spells if possible.

I'd ideally get on as early and late as possible (day times) if you're only fishing it in the day Will, and maybe smaller amounts of bait, i.e method feeder fishing...etc

Anywhere really produce Bream, but I would opt for other areas than the Shallows (not saying they don't go up there mind!)

Hope this helps..... Go get your PB

Cant add much more to what Nige has said but ive had most success for the slimey bait thieves at the stream or just to the left of where they feed the ducks on the meadow side in those first few swims next to the road but would deffo use the method on one if not both rods .

Fish to over 14lb have been out!!!

Who would argue about a double-figure Bream instead of blanking!?
