yep i think most guys do this , it does seem like we wish our lives away but fishing is something we love to do and its an escape from boring everyday life and it also reduces your stress levels which makes you feel better and i think thats why we sometimes get addicted to it !

i do but its not the week after its a fortnight after family comitments and that still i wouldnt swap it just make up for it when i get bak on the bank

A normal reply to that from a normal person would be

GET A LIFE!

HOWEVER, this week, I fished (rods in for) 4 hours Tuesday evening, 10 hours overnight Thursday, 12 hours overnight Saturday, 4 hours Saturday afternoon, and 6 hours this Sunday morning.

id say its an addiction, and an obsession, usually when i get home from a session i get my rig wallet out and have a fiddle with rigs n bits,

I wouldn't say I was addicted but having been locked in a cupboard by my uncle until I was 41 seems to have had a profound effect on me wanting to get out of the house and close to water at every possible chance (most weekends actually).

Maybe the constant dripping of the water tank in the airing cupboard has some bearing on this afflication? Or maybe it's Braveheart's special coffees?

ive not been on the bank for a good couple of months. and its really starting to get to me now. every spare minute i have im either walking round my local, making rigs, bait, cleaning gear, buying new gear, sorting current gear, reading, watching, writing fishing.

i need to go fishing
