When is this guy in court? We should be running a sweep on what fine he will get.

i have no idea, soon enough i think, will keep everyone posted.

Iv had an answer back from the EA too concerning spods and markers. a fishing licence must be held for a line in the water, with a baited hook on the end.

It is not a "rod licence" so to speek, just the name of it, its basicly a fishing permit.

Got the reply to my e-mail today from the EA.

Dear Mr Turner Thank you for your recent email. In answer to your question, you do not need a licence for a marker rod but if you did have a third rod to fish then you would need a second licence. if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact me. Many thanksMichelle McLaughlinFisheries Permitting and Enforcement Team

Its not as cut and dried as that it will depend on his First or Second offence, his attitude and reply to the EA Bailiff ie did he come clean or did they have to drag it out of him. His attitude to the court - they hate liars by the way! So if he came clean with no abuse etc and its his first offence and he can demonstrate to the court that he is really sorry then he may well get away with a very low fine say £80 but if he has lied etc then they may very well fine him the maximum regardless of whether its his First or Second time

Ever since being old enough to have a rod licence iv had one apart from once when i did a session that over lapped with the 1st of april. So on the 1st april i woke up to a ea officer at my bivvy door all i could show him was show him my ea licence that run out a few hours before. he still took my details n all that a few weeks later i got a letter saying they was not goin to charge me but they charged my mate who was with me a few hundred quid. He was in the same boat as me with a licence that had just run out whats all that about. any way i got off so

MATE I DO NOT THINK THAT YOU GOT FINED £60 FOR DOING 32MPH IN A 30 ZONE, AS THE LAW GIVES YOU 10% OF THE SPEED LIMIT +2MPH ON TOP TO ALLOW FOR SPEEDOMETER DEFICIENCY, YOU WONT GET DONE SPEEDING UNTIL YOU HIT 36MPH, THAT IS A FACT....

IF YOU DID YOU WERE ROBBED MATE.....

Maybe it was set at 32 After the tolerances were taken into account?

I wasnt really sure how to reassure him, apart from the fact that hes been caught red handed!
