Thumbs up WANTED for new SOTAS Website - Images, Articles & Catch Reports – Past & Present!

Hi All,

I’m in the process of building a new website for SOTAS which will be a much bigger and better affair than the current site - What I’m after now is content to fill it!

Images
I’m after images of fish caught, waterscapes, and just about anything else related to the club and its waters. It does not matter if they were taken yesterday or ten years ago – I’d be interested to see them. You can email any images to me at julian@northwestcarp.co.uk . It would be great if you could supply a little info that I could use on the site – for waterscapes; water name, time of year, rough date taken, etc. For trophy shots, fish weight, venue, date, tactics, etc.

Articles
The new site will feature an articles section, something which a lot of members (and prospective members) have been asking for in recent years. I’ve already received articles on Capesthorne, Redesmere, and just yesterday I got a very interesting article about the SOTAS netting team, but we’re after many, many more! It doesn’t matter what the article is about; your thoughts about fishing a certain water, recounting a tale of a special fish, session, capture or season, tips for fishing certain venues – whatever you like really!

Don’t worry if you’re not the best writer, or if you’ve never written anything before – we can help proof the article and to be honest, it’s more about the stories than how well they are written. I know there are a great many SOTAS members on here past and present, and I know some of the results you’ve had over the years, so why not put hands to keyboard and tell us about it – I know there are some fantastic stories just waiting to be told! They don’t have to be carp related either – any species from any venue!

They can be as short or as long as you like – it’s entirely up to you. If you have the odd image to accompany the piece it would be great – but don’t worry if not. You can forward to me at the above email address.

Catch Reports
I know a lot of you like to be secretive about your catches, but for those who don’t mind sharing a little info, catch reports would be most welcome – good or bad! Again for any species from any venue.

Thanks in advance for any contributions!

Julian
