One of my dreams would be to turn up at my water the weather would be fine and dry with a barmy breeze, not too warm tho,it would have rained over night so everywhere would be fresh and lush, while locating fish,I'd spot a BIG common on the search for food my heart would be pounding as I set my trap, then I'd sit just out of site watching as a shoal of greedy carp hoover up the free offerings around my hookbait,my buds would arrive to set up and stop for a natter,my rod would suddenly burst into life,I'd strike and be straight into playing the fish, the fight would be fantastic and it wouldn't give in easily eventually my prize common would slip over the net, The scales would tip past the magical 30lb mark,(just enough to compensate for the weight of the sling) Then i'd have some top pics taken with the biggest, cheesiest grin ever I'd give her (I refer to all big carp as ladies) a Rex Hunt stylee kiss and slip her back in the water safely. Then we'd all have a top social and maybe catch a few more for good measure

mmmmm........ heaven

For me any session in england where i catch my first english 20lber would be my dream session, im hoping it will be this year from one of the SOTAS waters, fingers crossed .

Although i have already had my dream session if its for fishing in general.................. France last year on les quis, on the 3rd day of the week i had take at 4:30pm just before tea, at 4:40pm i had the pleasure of slipping the net under a 46.8 common . 2 days later amongst various other catches i had a take from my margin rod at 12:20pm five minutes later i had a 48.7 mirror on the mat . A weeks fishing with 2 catches of a life time for me, i was very happy, i know its france and it probably doesnt count but it counts to me and i'll never forget that trip

As Bet says Johnny, ofcourse it counts mate, it counts to you, and thats all that matters pal. Cracking fish by the sound of it and a very memorable session. Nice one.
