Feedback usually consists of pictures of your captures to the sponsor, with a short written document of the circumstances of it's capture ( conditions, difficulty of the venue, whether a baiting campaign had been introduced etc)
Field testing baits can often be mistaken as getting cheap bait from a lot of firms, simply for advertising purposes. Actual field testing untried baits, flavours etc can be a pretty daunting prospect for many good anglers. Hard graft combined with worrying about amounts and levels of flavours and amounts of introduced bait, that may be not quite right can also be detrimental to your results. Then again, when you are something special it is exciting and rewarding.

Good luck on the venture fella.

reaper there's a saying you know if you haven't got anything good to say don't say anything at all!!!!

lol.... just kidding, i mean this is my first time at this sort of thing and i know the idea of field testing is to try out different things with the new bait... i was mearly asking how you as a field tester would aproach it, by introducing a new bait by baiting up or going hell bent and wingin it

to be fair to jase mate. as salford said getting discounted bait and field testing can be a bit confusing. tails up used to actually advertise "field testers required" when what they mean is that your getting bait at 6 quid a kilo. it's not a new formulated bait just a proven bait they can do you a deal on when you buy 10 kilos or more. field testing usually involves getting your bait free and i don't know many who get that. in fact none of the top of my head. if you are testing a new bait mate then fair play and i'm not putting this down to rub you up the wrong way or anything.

Mate i dont think anyone is trying to put you down. I dont know what deal you are getting or from whom but usually to start seriously fieldtesting a bait you really have to be at the top of your game and have total confidence in the other aspects of your fishing (watercraft, rigs etc). The last thing you need is to start confusing yourself with bait issues. If you were confident enough to start fieldtesting a bait then i guess what people are trying to say is that you should already have the knowledge of how to introduce and apply a new bait.

Good luck with it mate.

I think there right Jase your not 'field testing' your getting a good deal thats all.

If you are unsure why not post the company name and the bait name and i am sure we will know if it's a new bait!!

If it is fair play to you, i just couldn't have that playing on my head.

Carp fishing is a head wrecker at the best of times and to be unsure about what your putting in would just do me head right in.

I get bait at a very discounted price but am not a field tester just got a good deal

Suppose i am fortunate to be one of the few that get bait for free.
Unlimited supply, as much and as often as i demand it.
There are lots of good points as you can imagine
I am also very fortunate to be in league with a very understanding supplier.

At the end of the day (season) you have to come up with the results

Turn on the pressure valve

Proven base mixes and flavours enhancers etc really don't need to be worried about in which amounts they can be applied.... simply 'where and when'.
