Think I will start with A BIG THANK YOU to Jaime Clossick and Roger Bacon as this years presentation will be held at there Carp event,
Also A personal thank too you both from myself as I know how hard it is to run a event of this calibre you really are a benefit to Northwest Carpfishing, a big thank’s too this years sponsors of the ECHO CUP,s SWINTON ANGLING CENTRE and MAINLINE Baits


For those who are new to the event hear is the rules of the competition so where all straight
you can only enter if you live in the Northwest, the northwest is based on the ATZ
Of Lancashire, Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire,
There are two titles at stake

Northwest Carp Angler of the year
This title is for Northwest anglers who will have there
Captures judged on there northwest captures only

Northwest Carp Pioneer of the year
the judging on This one is on Northwest Carp anglers Captures outside the region
The above rules are carved in stone this should never change

Judging the competition ok this is how the judging is done this is the way it should be and I am not carving this in stone as the previous winner’s My not have ten year’s experience
There should be up too ten judges each year. So if you want to be a judge
This is what you need to have to be come a judge A, ten years experience as a Northwest Carp angler and live in the northwest
B, willing to come to a meeting place to make your vote
All votes are anonymous none of the judges talk about who they are going to Vote until they have put there vote forward the competition will be won
On the most points gained by the judge’s vote

It is a milestone this year believe or not it is the 5th judge-in of northwest Carp anglers of the year and I would like to give a outstanding congratulations to all those who have turned up each year. This year’s contenders I have been in amongst the grapevine only this year no time for the internet or magazine’s

NW CarpAngler 2007
There has been quite a few captures of 40plus carp in the region which is outstanding
I don’t know about every capture ie peoples names and what weights as the mind boggles trying to keep up with all the info on remembering it all, but those that
Rings bells are Charles Wilson, Mark Tunacliff ie TUDGE,
This years Grapevine has been beating a name out very loud
Ritchie Latham 46’12 Common northwest biggest common and a Northwest Record
Also I think Ritchie is the first person to land two 40 plus common’s in the northwest
Yes after catch-in the NORTHWEST RECORD he went to another Cheshire mere
And landed a 40lb’04 Common which is ****-IN OUSTANDING, just to flick Mud in the eyes of the knocker’s Ritchie has also landed 3 30plus and 16 20plus
Carp All from the Northwest

NW Carp PIONEER 2007
Jim Fletcher has been up there this year, jim has been travelling to oxford
From January 2007 he has landed a 50lb mirror and a 40lb plus and numerous
30plus. Jim has been angling on a big mere and he has been angling amongst Some of the country’s top full time anglers ie Terry Hearn,Jim Shelly,Nigel Sharp
And many other anglers.

There has been a capture of a big common from a hard Shropshire mereTo wally

Neil mccombe and stez have also had a very good year travelling to a prolific Hush Hush Essex water

And I cannot forget Northwests most prolific big fish pioneer Jaime Clossick Has also landed a 46lb common from a hard low stocked water

Also there has been a few good captures from france this year Falkey from Warrington had a great result landing a 70 plus mirror from mirror pool

no what your saying mate but its also time relevant as i know you personally catch a lot of fish without putting the nights in.but even so he`s had an exceptional year,good luck to him.
