It's not the ghosts you need to worry about... it's the mink that'll have you over!

LOL – yeah but I think the mink on there have been on Bigted’s jock Mc jock juice; foul mouthed and hard as nails.

To be honest I’ve not seen that many in recent years. Used to be full of’em

Yup.

It lulled me into a false sense of security with puppy-like noises before jumping on my head and beating me to a pulp.

I thought it was a dog wearing a dinosaur costume at first, but as if somebody would do something as daft as that…

Oh well, you live and learn.

Default enough to put the willys up you

Close to the Jodrell Bank Radio telescope, Capesthorne Hall is a Jacobean-style house that has been lived in by the Bromley-Davenport family since the Domesday book. The Hall was built between 1719 and 1732, although the area has history dating back to the Roman times. During the Second World War the hall was used as a Red Cross Hospital and its cellars became an effective bomb shelter.

An old Butler of Capesthorne once reported to the press that the resident ghost had been seen so frequently that there could be no doubt about its authenticity, he describes her as a lady in greyish dress. Sir Charles Taylor was in the west wing when he saw the grey lady glide past him as he was about to go upstairs.

Other manifestations have been experienced too, one of which is spectre-like shape descending the steps into the chapel vault. In 1958 a member of the family was awoken by rapping at the window, he opened his eyes to see an arm on the other side of the pane who hand was apparently trying to find a way in! The arm vanished as he reached for the window, looking out of the window all that could be seen was the empty courtyard below, bathed in moonlight, which was thirty feet below.
