Default Club Versus Club Competitions.!!

How do people feel about the idea of club competition's or even the thought of a club league.?
When we see some threads people tend to be passionate for there own clubs and there is always a little comradery with those on different waters.?? Just thought a little spice in the way of Competitions could be a interesting food for thought.!!

Wouldn't it be a bit tricky though, I think there would be a bit of a 'kerfuffle' when it came to waters used to hold the events on!

Im not sure it would if planned properly.!! At my clubs recent AGM it was discussed on a smaller scale just between the members..You can imagine the banter that came from the idea.! Just thinking on a larger scale..Clubs would get alot of exposure.

Got to admit, it's an interesting concept, you'd need a machete just to cut the air of tension before you got to your swim...... lol

Albeit on the match side, a number of regional clubs have inter-club matches and leagues.

You can imagine there would be a few upsets especially if big clubs fall at the hands of Minow's.!! Obviously you could look at pairings or even four or five clubs being represented in one match.!! Im sure my club would lick there lips at beating someone like Stoke

To be fair though the matches couldn't really be held on the club waters really could they, as the members of the club hosting the match would have a slight advantage over the guests because they know the water that bit better.

As Julian says a number of clubs do that sort of thing .Which is not my bag been there done that and one of the main reasons i got into carping was the constant competetiveness . Even if you just went for a few hours of an evening on a local pool it turned into a weeing competition with the 2 guys in adjoining swims .

Also many anglers are members of multiple clubs which IMHO would cause some sort of loyalty issue

Shouldn't be a problem...i think half the appetite would be beating a team in there own back yard.!!! Think how it works in Football..beaten on home turf is hard to stomach.!
In a league system you would both play on each others chosen water. The peg draw would be interesting

But im a member of 4 different waters/ clubs lol so which one to choose
