Well its news to me theres kippers in there, not fished it for a few seasons now and tbh never did any real digging about the place Biggest id heard of was Tims low 20, think i had them to high doubles, the fish are stunning tho, just like new, especially the commons

By the way its not as easy as you think in the winter (unless the sun comes out) so dont think it'll be like shooting fish in a barrel cuz it wont. Although it is the only place ive ever had all three rods rip off at the same time (that was fun! )

Being shallow the ducks are also a nightmare when fishing up against the island, we had to feed them all day on the bank.

Nice muka ...luvin the shots .... so your not aware of the fish they put in last November ???????? Ive just been tryn to find the name of it jst ...... but anyhows .... not far from the towers is a working estate that had a lake at the back of it ....... start of last year the estate was sold and the contents of the lake go put in to the towers later on .... theres is sum connection between the two place but i cant rememeber what it was ...nige wil be able to help you with that ......

Not sure what stock came out as he wudnt say in full but he did suggest there were a few very good fish ... {take a work around the lake and you will see them lol }

now you say the best you have seen come out is a low 20 ?? i have 2 vids that clearly show midd to upper 20's and thats just the fish you can see ....... bearin in mind i took it on my phone ..... and it was over cast ......

can i ask tho muka how come you fished by the island ...... all the fish seam to patrol the far wall ......

i droped a bag of wine gums in the edge and you could see the fish tailin down on them ....... they seamd to respond to the sound of the gums going in more than anything ....madness ........ next time you on wesa muka... txt me and il pop across show you the vids ....but if you still have your pass to fish there and dont mind shoot fish in a barrell then get on there ......

not sayin its easy all year ..but i cud have hand picked them carp out of the water ..... i dont see that as been very sporting ..... as they are like fishing in your garden pond there that tame ...lol......... but there are defo lumps in there ....NO DOUBT > YOU JUST HAVE TO WALK AROUND IT TO SEE THAT

No mate the last winter i did on there was 05 i think so any stocking in november 06 is news to me.The first season i fished it the island was covered in overhanging bushes and believe me the fish did get in there i caught them! One winter i turned up and all the vegetation on the island had been completedly removed, a big artificial island had been put in next to it with a golf green on it and the lake was covered in floating golf balls.

Since then your right the majority of fish activity was found up against the dam and in them bushes that run next to it.

They look decent fish on the vid and it looks like its taken from the wooden platform up round the back of the island, seems a lot shallower around there but ive still seen 20 strong shoals passing thru, like i say no monsters tho

Ive you ever seen the place after the parks shut mate? Honestly its like a different water! Its quite warm and sunny today so you'd probably bag up but try fishing it in on a propper bitter cold january day, im not saying theyre uncatchable but its not the turkey shoot you think it is

Hmmm as the colder months come i can see the place shuttin down , i am try to remember what date it was when i went ...... only a few weeks back ..... and the fish were up on th etop like it was summer .... but i can see how your right about after the park closes ...... those kippers must know when theres no food about .....lol

th evid was taken from where you used to get on the swan rides ..... there an overflow there with a cadge around it .... only small ... but thats were we were ......

went for a look around the island but most of it was either coverd in gold balls or that shallow the leafs and twigs had just made it into a marsh lol ....
Nige mentioned that next year they were thinging of puttin a fountain in the middle and to do so they wud make the lake deeper ..... now i dont know if you know much about the stock thats held in the JCB water , but iam sure that outtinthat fountain in will have the same effects as on JCB ......... and did you know that theres a one or two 30's in that place JCB ................ an i had always thought it was a pasty water .... as i know its ramed full of fish lol

but after seen pics and vids of the guys who work there ..... there are cleary sum KIPPERS to be had ...... 85p a week to fish if you work there lol lol ... or thats what it was last year lol ... they take it out your wages

Uve confused me now mate, the swans were never on the lake i use to fish. The swans were on the lake up from the one i fished. It was completely drained last time i saw it and you could see the giant wheels and cogs that use to pull the swans around the lake. Are you saying theyve filled that back up and stocked it with kippers
