Default A confidence thing

Hi Guys,

Just something ive been mulling over in my head.......

Who out there is just as confident using two boilies (say 14mm) on a hair as they are using a single boilie?

The reason im asking is because im thinking of trying 8mm boilies, but reckon a single would either get necked by a snotty or lost on the lakebed.

What are your thoughts?

I have fished for the last 18 months with 2 baits on the hair mate 15mm's don't be afraid to try new things

I had a 20+ of Belmont on 2x 8mm bollies so they can still search and pick them up

Just give it a go you won't be disapointed

try fishing 2 baits separated by a pva nugget...when it dissolves you get nice hinged gap between them

Its the norm for me - try baiting with 2 different boilies and matching it on the hair.

Even small carp have big mouths

for the majority of my fishing I use two 10mm boilies on the hair to a size 8 hook

Many years ago there was a popular rig, that is now much neglected called the greedy pig rig.

You basically tie up a very long hair and thread a whole string of bait onto it. Looks like you are casting out a stringer, in fact therein lies the theory behind the rig.

Takes a bit of bottle to give it a go but give it a go I did.

February freezing cold, no fish been out for weeks, out goes the greedy pig rig just setting my monkey climber (giving away my age ) and it is ripped from my grasp.

The culprit was all of 6lb any reservations I may have had about multiple baits were gone in that instant.
