Last time I was in (last week) it looked like it was fully stocked, I was only browsing but they carry a lot of new lines since the take-over and anything they don't stock they'll order in for you. I've always found them helpful, but thats just my experience, anybody else know different?

Its a decent store but to be honest I loved the old little trevs place before they moved, always up for a good cash discount, proper carp shop.

My dad bought me a rod not last xmas the xmas before and when i slid it out of the bag the tip section just fell in half so i took thr rod back and they said no problem we will have a replacement here for you fairly soon .
I took the rod back to them at the begining of august 2005 an i am still waiting i have contacted NWAC and they said they would sort it out as the shop has been taken over etc but it's been over a month since then .
The rod isnt worth that much in monetary value but my dad has died so the rod as far as sentimental value to me is Priceless .
There is loads more that has gone on regarding them throwing away the book with my phone number in it at the turn of the year and promises not kept.
Trevs eh i wouldnt go there if it was the last tackle shop on earth and it meant i had to give up fishing as i had no gear left.

However when it was at the old store in Wilmslow and Trev actually ran it it was a 1st class tackle shop couldnt fault it whatsoever but now its gone real comercial noooo not for me.

I was under the impression that NWAC was North West Angling in Wigan?

Not Trevs of Wilmslow. May be wrong

i'm with stig on this one i saw a spod rod nreel combo i anglingtimes rung them up to see if they still had them then drove down the moment i put the phone down. when i got there they told me they no longer had any of the reels left and the only reel they could offer on the combo was a very cheap and nasty d.a.m. reel i bought the rod and had to make up the difference on a more suitable reel. seems to me that lying to customers is common practice.

The place is pants... or it has been the last 2-3 times ive been there. trevs original shop in wilmslow was a great shop but then he got the shop in Handford which at first was fine but then it just started going down hill with less and less stock..

After doing a 20 mile round trip i have gone there with a small list of stuff each time and come back with nothing....now thats frustrating!!! Simple things like shockleaders or certain bait they are meant to stock but never get any in..

It may be different now as i havent been in there for over 5 months as i told myself that i will never go there again... If i did i would certainly be phoning them first as its certainly not a place to just go for a browse...

NWAC bought /took over Trevs and moved it from the old shop on Water lane/Altrincham rd Wilmslow to the new premesis in Handforth which if i remember rightly used to be the Nat west bank.(Gazza correct me if im wrong) However now someone has took over the business from Fishrite or somewhere .Can honestly say i dont care whos got it now i just want that rod back even if it is still broken i will either get a new tip or get it repaired.

It was the small shop that i originally got my infinities from My brother broke the tip off one of his rods and went to the shop in handforth...they did an exact rebuild of the upper section Good service.
Ive got a bit of money at the minute and fancy getting a third infinity before they get discountinued
