Default tench problems...

Not always a bad thing tincas as the carp are often not far behind. It can be a pain though if you are picking them up every hour.Even massive baits wont deter them I was picking tench up last year on 28mm hookbaits... I havent tried tigers to solve the problem but that would be my line of attack I think either that or spend more time trying to locate the carp first. If you have plenty of bait just try and put so much in that theres enough to go around surely the carp will eventually move in unless they are just totally outnumber by the ravenous tench.I am sure that sooner or later the next 'tench bite' will turn out to be a carp so you might just have to put up with it.Do the carp look like they will have a floater, or can you maybe stalk them.Just a few ideas...

if its the marina your on about they will eat anything as well as the bream there are a few rigs you can use that will definately stop them to a degree.

As most people have said mate if they want it the'yl have it . the approach i use myself is to bait with large baits and then bait another swim close by with smaller particle such as sweetcorn to keep them ocupied and keep it topped up regularly even if the carp come in for the corn they usually move on to the boilies.I think its all trial & error.
