When things go bump in the night.

Ok, im sure there has been a few threads on these lines before but I was wondering what was the funniest thing you heard when on a night session.

What has really got you laughing to yourself in your sleeping bag.

On saturday night there was a guy on the opposite bank to me watching porn on what i presume was a laptop and on a very quiet and still night you could hear every thing, the guy was even commentating!

.......Me and the guys I was with were in tears lafing!

The 'S' clip snapped and I thought a tree had fallen on my Bivvy!

A few years ago a good friend of mine went to the Cotswolds on an easter holiday with his family. He came back raving about some really nice gravel pits he'd fished where he'd managed to winkle out a nice mirror of about 17 and a half pounds. Surely enough, we came up with a cunning plan for a week down there later in the summer.

Off to the Cotswolds we headed in August, with the car loaded up to the roof. To cut a long story short, it rained constantly for a week and the carp fishing was dire (cracking tench sport though ). However, on one of the final nights, my friend finally got the run he was after. After a fine tussle he eventually got the fish in the net and sat back grinning with his prize catch safely on the mat.

Now I don't know if this particular fish just liked my friend, but it soon became apparent that the one fish he had managed to tempt all week was exactly the same one he had caught earlier in the year.

Me, laugh?....... Of course I didn't

Then again, my same friend did once have a bat fly into his head when we were night fishing once. Maybe he's just unlucky?

Me and a mate doin at night sess on greymist, puttin me marker rod away for the night sumhow gets tangled in the branches above me bivvy, give it a proper yank (like you do), comes hurtlin out, i ducks out of the way, bail arm opens (to this day dont no how?), a 4oz fox marker lead (the ****bly one)hits my fishin bud square in the temple. he was on the phone at the time, the person on the other end thought he'd bin murdered, didnt know wheither to run, phone an ambulance, or p*ss meself (sum mate eh!!!), decided on goin over to see how he was, he lived you may be glad to know, and is still one of my fishin buds, soz again big ste (fellow monkey) one of those things that if you tried to do it you never could, such is life !!!!!!!!!!

was casting when i was a kid ..from under a brolley being habitated by 2 of us........some how managed to send a size 14 up his nostril and do a superb piercing job !!

The thign is i thoght id snagged somat and was yanking the rod...trying to work out why when i pulled he screamed

I remember years ago fishing with my mates and my mate was about to cast out you know the one the big chuck .All lined up drops the rod tip over his shoulder then attempts to cast his fox chair into the lake . His hook had caught up on the chair ,Laugh we all p***ed ourselves . When i see him i always remind him .

someone playin a harmonica at the back of my bivvy at 3am, i was in fu#kin stitchies, by the time i'd got out mi bag they'd gone..

was fishing on a local canal ( wont mension where ) and a circus filled the canals surrounding park land. but the circus had to cross the canal over a metal bridge specially for them.

during the niht hears this clanging looks up the canal and about 4-5 lads are taking the bridge down on the canal.

they walked past with barrow fulls of pieces of the bridge and one lad said ' moneys short and this is the next best thing to gain a **** up' me and my mate laughed.

pretty mad as they was at it all night , by morning the bridge was gone. lol

Cows coughing.....wierd where ever you fish, especially at night, sounds just like a bloke... Scared the life out of me as a kid when I didn't know what it was...

Doing a night on Lymm Dam we turned round to see loads of lights bobbing up and down heading towards us.

Pitch black after 10 we thought it was aliens turned out to be the local running team out for a jogg in the dark....well funny i thought i had too much Brandy

Fishing at linear fisherie's was, lying awake in the bag about 4:30am, then heard the squeking front tyre of a carp porter go past the tent followed by a large bang and then alot of swearing as the guy walked his gear into the side of the bivvy of the chap next door comedy at it's best.
