Thumbs up Salford Anglers info wanted

Hi Everyone,

Is anyone a member of Salford Angling Club, and if so could you tell me if they have any good waters and if they have heard of any trouble on any of there waters.
I am thinking of joining it this year and would like to know if there have been any good size fish caught.

PS - Thanks for the replies to my last post.
Itchy

Hi mate.. Salford anglers has a few nice little waters, that hold carp.
The best is probably Roe Green in Worsley, it has been extended a few years ago. It holds a decent head of carp to low mid twenties. Decent stalking water, and a few catfish.

If memory serves me they also have Middlewood, which used to be the Scout camp off Leigh Road in Worsley, an old estate lake on what was the Duke of Bridgewaters Estate. It did contain quite a good head of fairly large carp, but that was many years ago, couldn't what was in there now. It was a nice place to fish, peacful and quiet.

Is Salford Anglers not part of the Salford and Broughton District Angling Club?

Two very different clubs mate. 'Middlewood' is on Broughton Anglers card, and has a very long waiting list. Lovely lake to fish, and a few decent fish around the low twenty mark.
