Very sad day for carp fishing, and all those in pursuit of some of the most special carp there has ever been.

Especially gutted for you Rob mate, as i knew just how much you were getting into it.

RIP the mere

Just to re-iterate what has already been pointed out. It's almost certainly a dissolved oxygen collapse. The EA are involved in doing tests. Until then, anything else is pure speculation.

Rob - So very sad for all involved

still find it hard to believe that so many different species have died at once. The question on everyones lips is where next? Its been a shocking year for fish deaths famous or not.

Some of our quieter waters have also been badly affected this week, some very special fish have died

got this off essiantials website about the mere. aparently it was almost certainly the result of a massive algae crash which has resulted in fatal dissolved oxygen D/O levels that has wiped out the entire lake. due to the storms aparently. sad sad news

essential baits
