I used Andytuna to give my 9 year old lad a few lessons, could of quite easily done it myself (did try) but i know for a fact that he'll be better behaved and take in a lot more of what another "unknown" adult is telling him than if it was me trying to teach him, money well spent in my eyes as he now comes fishing with me to catch fish instead of being distracted by the catapult

Default Angling coaching

Before I start I don't want to have a slanging match with anyone and I appreciate that everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I've gone from running my own recruitment company and changed some aspects of my life, for the better. I've spent considerable amounts of money and worked hard to become qualified to teach angling, and studied Paediatric first aid, Safeguarding and Protecting Children and undergone an enhanced CRB check, I've also done six months of voluntary coaching of children. I'm not looking to get rich from coaching as I think this would be an impossibility. I am however eager to enthuse more people to get involved in the sport which I love. As I'm sure most people will agree, time, bait, day tickets, equipment and insurance all cost money. I've done my best to make the pricing reasonable against other sports coaching.

Good reply Andy,I did my level 2 2 years ago in scotland, and apart from earning a few quid here and a few quid there, most coaches i know do a lot of voluntary work and trying to keep children coming into are sport.

Even at £190 per 24hr, allowing for 8 hours kip, it's still £11.88 an hour. Hardly extortionate. It's not for everyone but I think Bream Boy and AndyTuna summed it up pretty well...
