Default Frustrating Day On Capesthorne Today

Had one of them days today , me and cliff were on park pool left of the bridge in the pad swims after seen a couple of movers around that area on arrival so opted to set up there , we were light on tackle with the option to move if needs be, after an hour or so i had two fish roll to left of my baits under the second arch which after the cold week we have had i didn't really expect a great deal but kept seeing signs of movement in the pads for the next half hour ish . After a hour or so of not seen any signs i opted to have a look down the shallows towards top pool , having got half way down i spooked two very large mirrors in the margin which could not of been 6 inch off the bank, a bit ****ed off with myself for being a bit clumsy i carried on walking down the margin towards the top pool and noticed a few more and thought a stealthy move is on the cards but decided to do a complete circle of the lake dropping a little handful of pellets on the chosen areas. I carried on around the lake passing threw the boathouse swim on the top pool( which for you guys and gal which are interested there was no one on top pool all afternoon till about 3oclock when 1 was on) , anyway walked along the cow field side looking for signs and did not see anything at all which i thought was a bit weird after seeing all of them on the opposite margin. Got back to Cliff and suggested a move further down which he agreed , so we hobbled off down to the chosen area with two areas slightly baited up with pellets we chucked our two rods in each we sat back for about 4 hours watching carp cruise by fizzing , bubbling all around our baits waiting for a take ......... nothing not even a liner, frustrating or what, have you guys and gal had any days like that..............

TP fish are most unobliging in every way...dont show , dont feed etc.....Main pool fish show and cover bait more readily but getting a pick up is still a big headache!! Hey 25lber's dont come for free nevermind 30's

sounds like a normal capesthorne session to me basically you do your best to get on the fish, drop your baits in hopefully without spooking them then sit back and wait for them to make a mistake
most times they don't but occaisionally you get a little luck

Main lake fish havea habit of really feeding it up and leaving you scratching your head.

TP fish i feel show loads (not much boshing) but can be seen all day but getting a pick up is a nightmare too!

All fun down capes Got to love it.

yeah i like a challenge mate thats what its all about thats why i love carp fishing , but where did i mention i was after a 20 , ummm don't think i did , i aren't really bothered about the size of fish a catch or attempt to catch, although a 20 is a great fish to catch , any fish from capesthorne is a worthy capture irrelevent of size. Or do you think different Mr nice.....?

This forum could start an arguement with no one online! Its crazy, someone mentions something and instantly everyone is mega defensive, lets lighten up lads.

isnt the game ment to be challengnig ? if you court a 20 evry time then a 20 would mean **** all to you wouldn it

Thats just a general statement about why fishing can be interesting and was in no way directed at you shaun, no need to instantly bite back.
