In my opinion, the bailiff should have said something!!

Shy or not mate, it's his job and especially if they are taking the pi55!!

Am I missing the point here but if you can use boats on your local in what capacity are you having a 'word' with this guy about him using it ? If he's breaking rules using it fine but if not you're asking to end up in the water with it !

Was using a boat when the rules state that you're not allowed mate, I'd mind my own business otherwise. Like the topic says rules are rules and he was breaking em'

Fair enough Got no problem with that _ I thought you meant you were irritated that the guy was using a boat despite it being in the rules and you had a word with him.
Lets face it if we all kicked off when other anglers irritated us we'd all have to be carrying shotguns

So would this be the same scenario, say the bloke next to you caught a fish, you witnessed it and he's used a barbed hook when the rules state Barbless. Would all you be having a "word" then?? Rules are Rules end of.

lowey.

Fair enough but you might get the same reply as you did from the bloke with the bait boat.

it seems that some of the rules need changing on there anyway.... if its 1 and half acres and they allow bait boats on there.... WTF ?? !! Bailiffs should get a grip as should anyone feeling the need to use 1 at any time on such a tiny water.
