im trying to drink 24 cans of stella in 6 hours,and still be able to stand up,iv been practising all year,im upto about 18-19 cans

as for the fishing, keep on catching a few fish and enjoy it

My target is to get round as many as the big fish day ticket waters as I can next year just for the experience really as I havent got a card for anywhere from March 09 onwards , hopefully getting darn sarf a few times , work dependant , jeez , 2009 is gonna cost me a packet

Achieved a long standing target this year with the capture of my first English 30 apart from that I don't really set targets but if I had to it would just be to try and improve on the previous years success and to keep enjoying myself, the later probably being the most important

To appreciate and make the most of my time spent on the bank, it's not just about catching fish

Same challenges as a few others, isn't easy keeping a family happy, working hard through the week and getting motivated every weekend to go fishing. Just going to go when I really want to and enjoy every session, tend to fish better this way as well and not just go through the motions.

A 5lb chub from the river would do me for 09 and is something I may really have a go for through the winter

I havent done anything on the rivers for possibly 8 years.I always found the chub to be numerous in the Dove but on average smallish.I fished the Trent a few times back in 1998/99 behind the Attenborough gravel pits.Its a day ticket stretch I think(or was).The first 2 chub I had out on steak were both over 5lb.Seems to produce a lot of quality fish around that area, I never had one under 4.The carp go big as well and theres plenty of 10lb+ Barbel as well these days.I cant see why the chub fishing has changed much.Might be worth a try for a 5lber

Have had one or two 4lb'ers from the Dove, tend to be around the 3lb mark mainly but willing feeders through the colder months. Much better than blanking for the weekend and a nice way to spend a cold, frosty winter's day.
