Default Respect for waters

As some may know after reading my second session thread in the catch report section the problem that i had with litter on a certain water.

It took me a good 15mins and 2 carrier bags to clear all the crap up from just the peg i was fishing. The rest of the bank was the same but i just couldnt spend anymore time cleanning it up.

I went up lastnight not planned or anything but different story all together. I went on to the peg i was on the other night and was greeted with the same amount of litter again.

I felt sick that in the space of 24hours somebody had been on and dumped so much crap again and had such disrespect for a water which is free to fish.

Rant over

free to fish or not, there arefar too many ""anglers"" out there who dont give a sshhiitt about thesurroundings they fish in. fine 'em, shoot 'em get rid of them. why is it alwaysthe minority that ruins it for the majority??

And that's how it should be RT. There's nowt worse than fishing a swim full of dog ends...they are as much litter as an empty beer can IMHO because the filters are non-biodegradeable...the stale tobacco stench hangs around for ages if there is no wind...

Hang 'em high...

I had the pleasure of cleaning up about 50 tea bags from a swim i was in last week. They had been left in a nice little pile!

were having the same problem on a few of my club waters,
and seems to be a problem everywhere after reading a few articles recently.

..we've even been told one of the club waters will be closed if the problem continues
but it's the minority that are ruining it for the majority
...and it seems were the ones that will suffer for it

i just dont understand these people that think its ok to leave a peg looking like a rubbish tip

no respect, thats the problem

The one rule thats been in my mind since i 1st started fishing is....take your litter home! I see lots of articles in the mags aimed at the newer members to our hobby but rarely do you see it it mentioned...instead,taking 25000 different baits with you seems to be drummed out in every article..... maybe a few words aimed at teaching the number one rule at the end of each article would really drum it in. Mind you there will always be one or two who cant be bothered.

The majority always suffer lads, shame but thats how it is. You pay over a grand a year on Acton, and you can still find crap thrown into the bushes. But like we all know if we cleared the peg when we got there(I know it's not yours)there would never be any.
WE LIVE IN HOPE!!!!
