To feature find properly you need first to use braid that is a must and secondly no matter how far you are chucking at least 4oz's of lead ideally 5 oz's which may sound a little over the top but once you have tried it you will feel the differance. The reason for using heavy leads is because the floats buoyancy will make the lead feel lighter and the bigger the float the more it will counter balance the lead and you will loose sensitivity because the lead will bounce over the feature rather than be dragged through it.
