Good luck with the m6 and m1, not the best of drives on a Friday afternoon though got away with it myself a few weeks ago heading off to Kent.
Was busier in Cheshire and Stafford than the m1 and m25, bit of a lottery on Friday so fingers crossed.

Default What a scorcher

I've just got back a little earler after a 5 dayer down there.
To no avail unless you count bream in which I don't so.
I think its switched of down there at the mo they don't come accross as high pressure munchers. Alot of the other lakes in the area were also very quiet according to the locals. It was 28 degrees all week and I've got the sunburn to prove.
Its defanetley a place I'll be visiting again anyway. Probabily in the autumn/sept. When hopefully the place is switched on a bit more. Don't get me wrong I'm sure if you stuck at it you may well teaze one out but theres so much natural food in there already.
Ideally tho you guys wana be sticking together with the same bait. Loads of people came and blanked in my time down there all sticking different baits in. I can't see this helping matters. Also keeping it to a minimum for the moment won't do any harm.
Lovely place tho.
30's don't come for free!!!!!

Regards . Swampy Dan!!

i set off first thing fri morn, and had a clear run all the way down there.dead easy to find ,and wow what a stunning looking place.had a good walk around and decided to set up in the first bay as the wind was blowing straight into the corner.then sods law the wind dropped out came mr sun for the first time this year and the place went flat calm, loads of big bream just under the surface ,saw two shoals 60 and 30 or so strong, and what carp could be seen were lying up n the weed.chatting to one of the other lads down from manchester just before last lite on fri i had a take and lifted into a fis which just kept on swimming along at its own pace, either didnt know it was hooked or didnt care, either way the first bit of pressure i put on it i pulled out .oh well .any way only fish on the bank in 35 hours 2 bream .but il beback bit of a round trip but worth it for the enviroment.
