Default Spod mix over zigs

Hi all,

I haven't really fished zig rigs before but i'm booked on a water that is renown for zigs at this time of the year.

The question I have is what would you put in a spod mix to fish over zigs. I have done some research and found people using double cream, rice pudding etc. is this really true but most of all does it work????

Any advise or information is greatly appreciated.

Cheers and tight lines

Pete

It works on heavily stocked waters were you can get the fish competing.

you need a food cloud in mid water otherwise it defeats the object lots of milk powder and only tiny particles of very slow sinking food

Whatever else you put in prepare some groats and then blend them up and put some condensed milk in there. Fills the whole water column with a sweet sticky cloud.

The riser pellet that NASH do works brilliant for me. As it breaks down on the bottom all sorts of pellets / particles start girating through the water column.
Even if the fish are feeding on the bottom they follow the particles up through the water column to were the zigs are

Nashy's riser pellet's take some beating, the carp will take some of the surface but they keep on coming through the layer's and work perfect with zigs.

yeah maize is cheaper but you just buy the cheap cornflakes and because they have been toasted they are a lot lighter than flaked maize so it sinks much slower
