Forum Rules – Please Read

Welcome to the North West Carp Forum.

The forum is intended to provide a platform for regional anglers to discuss a broad range of angling related topics in a light-hearted manner. Whilst we heartily encourage lively debate and a bit of banter, the administration team WILL NOT tolerate foul language, references or links to drug use , abusive behaviour/foul language , explicit adult material or Racist/Xenophobic statements of any nature, either in the open forums .personal profiles or via PM.


Posting in such away to avoid the word filter identifying expetives is strictly forbidden should you adopt this practise please do not be surprised if a final warning is issued to you by the administration/moderation team .Following which should you avoid the word filter again your membership will be terminated and all relevent IP addresses banned

The forums have filters to automatically delete swear words. Action will be taken against those that deliberately go out of their way to sidestep the filters to swear on the forums or insult others.

Whilst we appreciate each member’s right to voice opinion, we must also protect ourselves from potential problems arising from posts containing slanderous, libellous, or defamatory content about any individual, company, or association. Any posts deemed to contain such material will be edited or simply deleted, so we would ask all members to please bare this in mind when posting.

It has always been our intention that this forum should be openly accessible to anglers of any age, and thus our priority is to ensure that the content remains acceptable to all ages at all times. If it’s not something you would want your own child to see – don’t post it.

As most members know, there are certain clubs within the North West that have publicity bans. In the interests amicable relationships with all Angling Clubs within the region we would ask that all members please observe the rules of your chosen clubs regarding publicity bans – failure to do so could result in you losing your ticket!

Please do not post any images of cruelty to animals, drug use, abusive behaviour, explicit adult material, or racist behaviour of any kind.

May I also inform you the use of text talk is not allowed on the boards

Please note new members with profiles left blank or filled with obviously incorrect information will not have their membership validated or deleted if left blank or filled with obviously false information at a later date .

Multiple registrations are not allowed

The NWC Forum operates a 'two strikes and out' card system, whereby any user in violation of the rules will be issued with a yellow card. should any member commit second violation, a red card will be shown and the account and IP addresses terminated.

When using the Items for sale/swap section links to sites such as ebay are not allowed. Any posts containing such links will either be edited or deleted. The for sale section is for selling surplus items only - posts will be removed if it is considered members are using the forums as a means of making a profit (eg selling large quantities of the same item).

Fishing tackle and angling related items ONLY are to be sold in the for sale section and just because you watch angling DVDs on them does not make either your DVD player nor your television angling related item(s).
Also the sale of any angling DVDs must be of original discs in original cases sale of copied DVDs is strictly forbidden and only angling DVDs may be sold .

Also members simply join to use the for sale section will not be tolerated. To use the for sale section you have to be seen to be making a contribution towards the forum by making posts and joining in debates etc . However any member who in the eyes of the admin mod team is simply using the forum as their own version of free ebay will have their for sale posts removed the availability for them to post in the for sale section may also be removed and/or their membership deleted .

Also any person who appears to be attempting to sell an inordinate amount of fishing gear through the for sale section will have their posts removed

Also please remember anything and everything without an asking price will always be removed .

The practice of boosting your for sale thread/post back to the top of the list by posting words like bump &/or anyone in your own forsale thread is strictly forbidden

As usual a few thoughtless ones have thrown a spanner in the works for everyone else

The Administration & Moderation Teams decision (s) will ALWAYS be final.



Every item posted /advertised in the for sale section has to have an asking price we do not allow auctions therefore any post asking for offers ( which is in our opinion a back handed route to auctioning an item ) Will be removed from the previously mentioned for sale section

Should you wish to auction your surplus tackle items to the highest bidder please feel free to use ebay and pay for their services

Following several recent posts i have to advise that we DO NOT allow the sale of air rifles ,air pistols or any kind of fire arm whatsoever


The Administration & Moderation Teams decision will ALWAYS be final.

As such, we would ask that you think carefully before posting material which could be deemed as unnecessarily contentious or defamatory – You have been warned!
