Default Le Moulin du Mée catch report.

Our first week just completed and 4 anglers had over 80 carp with 2 over 30lb, 25 x 25 - 29lb, 33 x 20 - 25lb and 20 x 15 - 20lb. There were also some smaller fish between 10 and 15lb that have not been included. The pleasing thing is that the carp were in stunning condition - I can't wait to see how some of the bigger fish have prospered.

Thanks fellah's.
Our 3rd week saw a party of Dutch on a 4 day break with us and although the carp were in spawning mood, and actually started the day they finished, they still managed 85 carp. Of these there were 45 over 20lb including 17 over 25lb and 6 x 30's up to 38.5lb. The smaller fish were showing up more towards the end of their stay as the bigger fish had other things on their mind.........sexy things.

First 3 weeks under our belt and a total of 17 anglers have had 257 carp with 168 of them over 20lb. Of these 95 were over 25lb and there were 26 x 30's with 12 of those between 35 and 38.8lb's.
Fishing has been patchy at times with the constantly changing weather and spawning activity but all 3 weeks saw daily catches with early mornings proving most productive. Most of the bigger fish have come in the last 10 days or so together with a couple of small sturgeon and cats.
None of the larger stocked fish have shown as yet which is rather puzzling but the growth rates we are seeing is above all expectations with several identifiable carp putting on up to 12lb since Sept. I imagine that spawn will account for some of that but we estimate that the average weight increase has been in the region of 5lb.
