Nice looking lake with some real lumps. Not easy fishing with deep smelly silt generally and some nice lilly pads at one end. I feel that to get the best from the venue a bait boat is desireable as the tree's on the far marging are very productive but outside normal casting range. Can be reached with a big chuck but impossible to bait up. I feel that there are plenty of other big fish waters in France that I would rather fish than return to this venue. Just my opinion but we have several of our anglers that have fished the place a few times but have now moved on due to the owners attitude as well as the fishing. Having said all that the venue certainly hold some real lumps so may always turn up something special.

Thanks for that I can get use of a bait boat etc its Big fish I am after that and the fact I will be in a Motorhome rather than a Bivvy and they said that would be no problem so that influenced my decision as well. I really have not decided on a venue but am looking for a venue thats got some room ie I am not 10ft from the next guy, one that has sensible rules and is not a free for all etc and is peacefull - not a lot to ask lol

I wouldnt recommend it.I found the owner Bernard Carron obnoxious. He gave us our bowling alleys to fish in and then proceeded to drive his boat around in the free area. The baliff at the time Frank Wheeler is always on boss peg by the lodge even though he hardly fishes it.I wouldnt bother its like the blackpool of carp fishing.Give Dave At Moulinots a ring he has a couple of places left this year and next, at discount prices.
