September is a good month for big fish. The fish tend to get moved back and forth between the close by waters ie Etang 5 so you never no whats in there.Theres a lot of bream in there so a baitboat is usually handy for getting lots of seeds out.Theres a couple of bars running length way down the lake its a good idea to get a bait on them.Try and get one of the middle pegs on the air raid shelter side they tend to produce consistantly.A mate of mine had a 52 on a tiger nut just recently.I would advise at least 20mm baits to stop the bream eating them.

ive been twice in recent years and would suggest the middle pegs to be favourable.
both times ive found the fish to slowly move across the lake so each peg tended to get a couple of runs before they move down a bit.
single tigers cast to close in bubblers ( when i never really expacted a take) has produced a couple of good 30s for me.
its not a pretty water and has massive pylons over it but you do get used to them and no one has ever died despite the abundance of spods and markers that used to go over them !!!!!!!!!!!
if you get tons of twitchy bites that you can hit then they are vprobly sturgeon and they can provide sone good sport.
