Default Buying in france

I am a very lucky man

My mum and Dad are retiring next year and they have decided that they are moving to France and buying a retirement home and running a fishing buisness

And i am the lucky B@*stad that will be running it

We have looked at alot of propertys and we are going in September 09 for a month looking for some where to buy

Looking at a property and a lake of around 10 + acres (the bigger the better) already up and running as a buisness or with alot of potencial, we have found several that are within our budget with carp upto 60lb with bookings already taken for 2009.

Looking for advice from French lake owners or people with experience of running a French fishery.
Could anyone reccomend any books that would be worth a read on running a french fishery business? (theres alot for sale so a pointer in the right direction would be great)

It would have to be drive and survive for the first few years while it gets going, then I would be looking at the possability of doing a all inclusive package.

Any advice would be really appreciated, if you know any websites with lakes for sale please pm me with details.

Thanks and tight lines

Yes indeed you are very lucky dave! If any of the Tony Miller waters are still up for grabs take a look.

If you want information on running a water I am sure Oldfellah off here and Keith Moors aka Moorsey from carpforum will help you out.baitman also knows a thing or two, I think hes the same fella who comes on here under that name he also uses carpforum quite often. As a matter of fact theres a good thread on there now which is very relevant called 'Growth rates in carp'.Sorry for the mention of other sites mods but I think they are useful leads for dave

Sorry dave maybe I was a bit hasty but I just thought you had maybe dismissed my post as 'duff' info.Trust me all those fellas mentioned are a veritable mine of information. If they dont know about it, which is highly unlikely, they can and will find out.

Cheers
Deano
