Not everyones cup of tea, but Drive & survive on Dreamlakes 3, 4 or 5 isn't too expensive and not too far from Calais...carp to 60+ and cats to 120+ too.....

Macca if you are going to France for the first time I would recommend an all inclusive type holiday. Let them do all the cooking and looking after you when all you have to worry about is what time your next meal is

There are plenty of trips out there so have a read through this forum and there should be links for you.

Good luck with which ever route you decide to follow

Cheers Slim.

Hi Macca,

If you do fancy doing an All inclusive trip then have a look at our venue Eden's Lakes.
We also do a drive & survive package if you dont fancy the All Inclusive.

Both of our lakes have carp upto the 50lb+ & a good head of 30's.
Check out our gallery to give you an idea of some of the carp you could be catching.

Good luck

Adam

Mirror Pool fisheries are good mate. I fished Mayflower in June with a mate. Between us we had 55 fish, nothing below 20, 15 thirties and 1 forty. And I'm going Meadow Lake today! Tara!!

Agree with horizon breaker, Mayflower is a great runs water. Not huge fish but plenty of action for a first timer.
