you could go on for hours

just take what you take for along session over here

i go for a session usually before i go to get everything ready and make sure i have got everything

a spare landing net is allways a good idea

this is all depending on where you are fishing

most places will have spare things just incase

enjoy france hope you get afew

The replacement for the old E11. Just search E11 on Google. You can apply on line and should get it before you go. Probably THE most important bit of kit and the least expensive (it`s free).

Passport and as mentioned the replacement for the E111 ! comes in a kinda credit card type shaped thing , emergency contact details, inflated spare tyre (if your drive and survive) spare fuses/bulbs for car (if driving) i always carry a little tub of that Radiator repair stuff just in case u get a leak (happened to me driving to anglers paradise... had to keep stoping and refilling with water until i found a service station that sold this stuff.. blue plastic bottle.. cant remember the name) a GB sticker for the car, basic french phrase book

all pretty serious stuff but essential when travelling and if driving abroad...

now as for tackle.. spare sack (if allowed) big unhooking mat (maybe two) camera films and batteries, spare clothes, Euros, bait (need any particle lol) as dave says the list could go on and on

spare sack (if allowed)
Sacks are illegal in the whole of France and have been for a couple of years or so. You may well get fishery owners who allow you to sack fish on their lake but even so they and you are breaking the law.

Its now Compulsory for every vehicle to carry -

Fire Extinguisher
Warning Triangle
Spare Bulbs
Headlight Converters
Yellow His Vis Vest for everyone in the vehicle

Filure to produce these should you be stopped will lead to a large on the spot fine for each item not present.

just fish as you would back home but ensure your tackle is spot on and you have spares for certain things like line and batteries etc etc and dont expect to much it can be as hard if not harder than back home
