Off to L'Horre next may... mate got let down by someone else so i got invited... need to get some serious fishing in this year... Going with some competent lads so should be alright...

Bit daunting but i'm sure i'll have a good time and hopefully beat my pb of ....... 10lb10 lol...



Whats the place like?

Mate had a 30+ grassy last year...

Any tips for french carping?

treat it the same as uk mate unless there's poison chat and crays dont worry to much and enjoy it
tackle wise normal gear for uk is fine just be sure your mat is large and always a good option to take 2 landing nets and a weigh tripod makes life much easier when hauling

Good luck Rainey, make sure you have got someone on hand though if you bank a '40', can be a lot trickier to hold than a 10lber mate

Got it under control sir knapper me and 3 others going and they know i aint upto there level so keeping an eye out for me

haha....funny one this.My mates just been to la Horre for the second time.First time round he made a big mistake and just took a load of different ready mades even though we told him to take some quality bait and plenty of! So he didnt do too well first time round the lads with the kilos of trigga in the swim bagged up!
Now trip 2 he took 30kg of trigga, guess what between him and his Dad they hammered the place taking over 30 fish to 51.8. They had em all on singles on the chod........funny old game this carping but like the scouts say 'be prepared'

Fished swim 4 a few years ago. Was flat calm for 6 days and very hot, only picked up a handful of fish to 27lb. On the last night the wind got up and the fish switched on big time.

Are some real big fish in there now, I think swim 12 is the one to head for.
